Overview
LLMLens is a product of Kettle Hole Partners LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the website at llmlens.ai and the application at app.llmlens.ai (together, the “Service”). LLMLens is a B2B platform that measures how AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity describe brands, and provides recommendations on how to improve that visibility.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
This is a business-to-business service. LLMLens works with company clients and their designated administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal data from consumers or individuals outside of a business relationship.
Information We Collect
We collect information in three categories: information you provide directly, data we generate on your behalf by querying AI providers and crawling websites, and standard usage data.
Account and contact information — When you sign up, book a call, or correspond with us, we collect your name, business email address, company name, and any other details you choose to provide.
Brand profile information — When you set up your account, you provide information about the firm you want tracked, including the firm’s name, website URL, geographic scope, customer-base type (B2B, B2C, or mixed), the prompts you want tracked, the list of competitors you want benchmarked against, and capability-profile information that determines which recommendations are shown to you (for example, whether you have an existing PR firm or whether your firm has been mentioned in industry press).
Data generated on your behalf — On a recurring schedule (typically weekly), the Service queries third-party AI providers using the prompts you have configured, and stores the responses we receive. We then parse those responses and store the following derived information:
- The text of each AI response
- Whether your brand was mentioned
- The position your brand was ranked, if applicable
- The names of competitors mentioned in each response
- The positions those competitors were ranked
- Sentiment classifications applied to mentions
- Aggregated visibility scores and trend metrics derived from the above
Website crawl data — To generate recommendations, the Service crawls publicly accessible pages on your firm’s website and on the websites of competitors you have designated for benchmarking. We extract publicly available structural information including schema markup, page metadata, comparison-page inventories, and content patterns. We do not access or store private or authenticated areas of any website. We respect standard web protocols, including robots.txt directives.
Usage and technical data — We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, IP address, and device identifiers. This helps us improve the platform and troubleshoot issues.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve LLMLens. Specifically, we use it to:
- Run weekly visibility measurements across the AI surfaces we cover and display the resulting dashboards and trends in your account
- Generate recommendations on how to improve your AI visibility, based on your brand profile, your data, and analysis of competitor websites
- Send you service-related communications, including weekly digest emails, onboarding guidance, and support responses
- Maintain and improve the technical performance and reliability of the Service
- Improve our algorithms and platform features using anonymized, aggregated, and de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, your firm, or any individual
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data to train general-purpose AI models, nor do we use it to build advertising profiles or for any purpose unrelated to delivering the LLMLens service to you.
Third-Party AI Providers
LLMLens generates the data in your account by sending the prompts you configure to third-party AI providers. These providers currently include OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode), and Perplexity AI. We continue to add new providers as the AI landscape evolves.
When the Service queries these providers, the prompts you have configured are transmitted to those providers as part of standard API requests. The prompts you configure are typically generic category questions that do not contain confidential business information (for example, “What are the top executive coaching firms for mid-market CEOs?”). However, you should not configure prompts that contain confidential or sensitive information, since those prompts will be transmitted to and processed by third-party AI providers under their own terms of service and privacy policies.
Each AI provider has its own privacy policy and data handling practices governing requests sent through their APIs. We encourage you to review their policies if you have specific concerns about how they process the prompts and responses associated with your account.
Web Crawling
To generate recommendations, the Service crawls publicly accessible pages on:
- Your firm’s website (which you provide and authorize at setup)
- Websites of competitors you designate for benchmarking
We crawl only public-facing content, respect robots.txt directives, and use reasonable rate limits to avoid burdening any site. We do not attempt to access authenticated areas, private content, or any data that is not publicly available. We do not modify any website we crawl. We do not store or share any personal information about individuals that may incidentally appear on crawled pages.
If a competitor or other website operator has concerns about being included in our crawls, they may contact us at the email address below and we will discuss reasonable adjustments.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — We use trusted infrastructure providers (including Supabase for data storage, Vercel for application hosting, and various AI providers as described above) to operate the Service. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Your organization — Data in your LLMLens account is accessible to the administrators and authorized users within your organization.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. LLMLens uses industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit, access controls that restrict data to authenticated and authorized users, and a client isolation model that requires a unique client identifier to access any data — ensuring no client can access another client’s information.
In the event of a confirmed unauthorized access to your account data, we will notify you without undue delay following our discovery of the incident.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your account information and generated data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription or request deletion, we will remove your data from our active systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.
To request deletion of your data, contact us at the email address listed below.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to access the information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict certain uses of your data, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in the Contact section below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
Children's Privacy
LLMLens is a business-to-business service and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify you by email or through a notice in the application. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
